Today the theme is all about adding a little extra weight to your workouts. Whether you’re walking, running, kickboxing, or dancing – a little extra weight never hurts.
Everything has to make you sweat, motivate you to sweat, or accompany you in your sweatiness.
My Extra Weight Inspiration
These gloves are only 1/2 lb. each, but believe me when I say that they can seriously up the sweat factor.
So far, I’ve worn these walking, running, zumbaing (made up word alert), and piloxing. Basically, I plan on using them whenever my workout permits!
As far as where to get them, I actually bought mine at my Piloxing class. You can get the exact gloves here, but any type of weighted gloves would work.
Weekly Workouts
Sunday – 3 mile run
Monday – REST
Tuesday – 5 mile walk/run (2 miles with the weighted gloves)
Wednesday – REST
Thursday – Piloxing class (50 minutes) + boot camp class (45 minutes)
Friday – 3 mile treadmill run (1 mile with weighted gloves)
Saturday – an outdoor run (weather-permitting) or a Turbokick class

Words Of Wisdom
Before beginning my weight loss journey, I spent way too much time wishing that I could lose weight, feel better, and look better. I also spent a lot of time thinking about working out or eating healthier. But wishing and thinking didn’t get me anywhere – it is action that creates change.
Just think if I had spent all of that time actually working towards my goal.
Thankfully, I eventually realized this and learned from my mistakes.
But it’s an amazing lesson for all walks of life – STOP WISHING. START DOING.
Get your sweat on by grabbing extra weights!
Whatever workout you do today (or over the next week), grab some extra weights. You can use weighted gloves, small dumbbells (1-2 lbs.) or cans of food – whatever you have access to.
Try doing a few sets of jumping jacks or some incline walking – your arms will be burning in no time.
